AVATAR
Hello everyone!
This is my avatar. As you can read in my first post I have tried to create an avatar similar to me in order you can imagine the aspect of the person behind this letters.
How I do it?
I create it with Bitmoji, which is an app to create an avatar of yourself and assemble expressions, reactions, jobs… People use it in their social media accounts when they are communicating with someone in a chat and they use you Bitmoji to express their selves.
It is a very simple and easy app you can create your Bitmoji only taking a picture and it create and avatar for you, and also you pick out the characteristics you want (hair, eyes, nose, skin shade…). So, I would recommended it because it has lot of variety!
How can I used it in class?
Simple, I invite you to it put in practice with something you think it would be a good learning for children. If you do it, please, tell us about your experience in the comments.
If you need some ideas, keep reading.
- You can use it in Pre-Primary or in first graders of Primary to take the register because children cannot read yet.
- You can use it to personalise parts of the class: chairs, coat rack, tables, shelves...
- You can iclude your own avatar in your PowerPoint presentations.
- Higher graders can use their own emojis in their presentations too.
- You can use it to create games like "Guess who"?
- You can use it as a tool of vocabulary, you can teach emotions, jobs, food...
- You can create emojis of historical figures, writers, scientist and teach through them.
- You can use them to perform a theatre play.
I love the idea of using it to teach emotions, that is very useful for the bilingual classroom to avoid translation!
