LIVING THINGS VS. NON LIVING THINGS

CLIL LESSON PLAN FOR 1st GRADERS

Hi ICT lovers!

happy in meadow wheelchair  too busy

I am here again! I would like to share with you another resource for your CLIL lessons. It is a very simple game that you can use with different topics. In this case I am going to use it with LIVING THING AND NON LIVING THINGS as you can read on the title.

The game consist of give one different image for each student in the class and they have to classify one by one the images. How? We can put two small boxes: "Living things" and "Non living things". In order, they have to stand up one by one and introduce it in the correct box. When all of them have classified the pictures. We, as teachers, will open one box and we put out the images one by one. We also can comment with the class if it is in the correct box and also we can asking them why is a living or a non living thing in order to know the main characteristics of both things.

Some images that I would use for this activity with this topic are these:

         Copyright by: Sasint
            Public domain picture

        Copyright by: Larisa-K
            Public domain picture

        Copyright by: Bessi
            Public domain picture.

        Copyright by: Pexels
            Public domain picture.

        Copyright by: pixel2013
            Public domain picture

I have chosen these images because I think that show children real images is better than use stock images. In the other hand, I have chosen these ones because their authors has granted them to the public domain.

Thank you for read me!

Until next entry!

  2. Something I really like about your post is that the images are very different from each other, so that the students will have to think a lot! Amazing job!
